Upon logging in and entering FAIR, you will arrive at your FAIR homepage listing key features as well as Featured Datasets and Recently Created Datasets. A number of items and layout options appear in the menu of FAIR.
Clicking this icon takes you back to your FAIR homepage.
The main entry point of discovering data in FAIR.
You can navigate to the Dataset Search via ‘New search’ or view your saved searches ('My searches') in a separate page. A list of your last 5 saved searches also appear in the dropdown for convenience.
Provides links to view and create datasets.
All datasets’ takes you to a new page listing all datasets within the FAIR platform while the dropdown also lists the 5 last created datasets. For users with Data Steward permissions, you can create a new dataset by clicking ‘New dataset’.
For customers with Data Access Requests (DAR) configured, this provides links to create an access request, view your access requests and review any access requests you may have for your datasets.
The search box in the menu ribbon provides search functionality over multiple aspects of the service.
This omni-search allows you to search for: 1. Knowledge base articles. 2. Navigate within the service. For example, a search for ‘dataset’ would allow you to navigate to the list of all datasets with the platform, or create a new dataset. 3. Datasets within the platform. For example, searching for ‘dementia' will return datasets with terms matching ‘dementia’.

The user dropdown provides links to get further information about the service as well as sign out.
- Terms & condition: links to the Aridhia DRE Terms & conditions on the Knowledge Base. This link may be customised using the Configuration Vocabulary API.
- About: displays the release number of your FAIR instance.
- Feedback: links to a page to contact the Aridhia Service Desk.
- Sign out: signs you out of FAIR.
If configured, a custom dropdown of links. In this example, links to the user’s workspaces.
This custom dropdown can be added and customised via the Configuration Vocabulary API.
To the right of the menu there are a number of layout options.
